Astri Rozanah Siregar was born in Jakarta, on March 1, 1978. In 1996, she continued her undergraduate education at the Faculty of Biology, Universitas Nasional, Jakarta, and obtained her Bachelor of Biology in 2000. Since graduating, she has worked as an Environmental Specialist at the environmental consultant office of Ekobumi Nusantara, moved to work as a reporter and editor at the Voice of Human Rights news agency, then moved to another job as a Liaison Officer and Project Manager at the Orangutan Foundation UK. In early 2016, he established a foundation called Ammara Pendidikan Insanii, one of which is to organize formal education for early childhood.
In early 2021, he continued his master’s education in biology at the Universitas Nasional, received a scholarship from the Universitas Nasional as a prospective lecturer, and received a research scholarship in collaboration between the Universitas Nasional and Rutgers University for research on plants that can be used for the treatment of chronic diseases.
